He was predeceased by: his parents, Ettore Oreste Di Santo and Amerina Caldararo. He is survived by: his wife Rita; his daughter Amerina; and his siblings, Rosina and Domenico.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 11th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Bernardo Funeral Homes (2960 Dufferin St, North York, ON M6B3S9). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the St. Norbert's Church (100 Regent Rd, North York, ON M3K1H3).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Giovanni's memory may be made to the Liver Canada (formerly the Canadian Liver Foundation).
