Gregory Tomaszewski Obituary
In loving memory of Gregory Tomaszewski (Toronto, Ontario), who departed this world on May 18, 2025 at the age of 77. Gregory leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gregory Tomaszewski to pay them a last tribute.
As we bid Gregory farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Gregory is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He is survived by: his wife Diane; his children, Michael and Jessica; his siblings, Ursula and Andrew; and his siblings' children, Laura, Amanda, Emily, Kristina and Christopher.
Some of the projects we wish to highlight include his work on Toronto Pearson International Airport Terminal 1, his contributions to the first Catholic high school—Notre Dame—built for the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board in 1984, his involvement with the Susan Fennell Sportsplex in Brampton, and the reconstruction of the John A. Russell Building at the University of Manitoba, one of the most notable Modernist restorations in Canadian architectural history.
