It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Heather (Switzer) Sleightholm in Toronto, Ontario, who passed away on November 30, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Heather had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Heather may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Wilbert Switzer and Alberta Switzer; her husband Brent Sleightholm; her pets, Bella and Angel; and her sisters, Effie McPherson, Ruby Billings and Hazel Maxwell. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Haliburton Community Funeral Home (13523 ON-118, Haliburton, ON K0M1S0). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
