Though Helen McKinnon may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of our lives, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by : her husband Harold Alfred Doan; her parents, John Donaldson and Henrietta Donaldson; and her sister Henrietta Briggs (Ted). She is survived by : her children, Harry John Doan (Shirley June) and Helen McKinnon Doan Jr..

Visitation was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes (6191 Yonge St, North York, ON M2M4K4). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the York Cemetery (160 Beecroft Rd, North York, ON M2N5Z5).
