Herbert left this world on November 21, 2025 at the age of 101, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his son Glenn; his brothers, Tye (Helen) and Ray Sakaguchi (Kay); and his parents, Sanjiro Sakaguchi and Sawaye Sakaguchi.
He is survived by: his children, Sandy (Helen) and Jane (Mick Zielinski); his grandchildren, Kyle (Lauren), Kelly (Stefan Smith), Tyler, Laura (Jonathan) and Jenna Zielinski; his great grandchildren, Remi and Ryker Smith; Alice. He is also survived by Uncle Sak leaves behind his many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the McDougall & Brown Funeral Home, Scarborough Chapel (2900 Kingston Rd, Scarborough, ON M1M1N5).
In lieu of flowers or koden, donations to Momiji Health Care Society, the Yee Hong Centre or the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre would be greatly appreciated.
