He received the Steward of Suretyship Award from the Surety Association of Canada in 2012, recognizing his outstanding contributions to the profession and mentorship to many in the industry.

Although we weren’t in touch for many years, I always considered Robbie to have been one of my best friends and cherish the many adventures and sincere conversations we had back in the day. Cape Cod, Niagara Falls, the “72” Series, The Jolly Miller and so many other memories are still vivid in my mind. I know how he must be missed by those who loved him. My prayers are with you.”
