She was predeceased by: her mother Maria Martynenko of Ukraine's National Opera; her husband Petro Cherniak; and her brother Volodymyr. She is survived by: her daughters, Natalia (Roman), Oksana (Volodya), Anna and Marta (Paul); her grandchildren, Tamara (Nick), Andrew, Hrad, Matt (Motia), Raya, Jason (Jacqueline), Michael, Tara and Adrian (Stephanie); her great grandchildren, Nathan, Cristina, Victor, Johnny and Jocelyn; and her sibling's children, Andrew (Anastasia) and Olha (Serhiy).
