It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene Beatrice Akai (Toronto, Ontario), who passed away on June 23, 2018, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Ivan Akai. She is survived by: her children, Barbara (Lennox), Gregory, Diane and Gary (Laura); her grandchildren, Lana, Tanya (Sean), Natasha and Nicole; her great grandchild Henry; and her siblings, Shelia of Lucille, Rose and Alex. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Interment to follow at Pine Hills Cemetery, 625 Birchmount Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lung Association, Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer Society.
