With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jack McDermott (Toronto, Ontario), who passed away on September 27, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William McDermott and Sarah McDermott; and his sisters, Kay, Josephine and Jean.
He is survived by: his wife Pauline; his daughter Lorie; his son-in-law Jim; his grandchildren, Jenna and Evan; and his sister Theresa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the McDougall & Brown Funeral Home, Scarborough Chapel (2900 Kingston Rd, Scarborough, ON M1M1N5). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the McDougall & Brown Funeral Home Scarborough Chapel (2900 Kingston Rd, Scarborough, ON M1M1N5).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada (https://alzheimer.ca) in memory of Jack would be appreciated by the family.
