He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret O'Brien (Peggy). He is survived by: his son Paul O'Brien (Anne-Marie); his girlfriend Annette Spahn; his brother Ben O'Brien (Xochitl); his grandchildren, Justin O'Brien, Adam O'Brien, Olivia Spahn-Vieira, Daniel Spahn-Vieira and Joseph Spahn-Vieira; and his nephews, Kevin O'Brien (Christine) and Sean O'Brien (Tracey).

Due to COVID restrictions funeral services and interment at Holy Cross Cemetery will be held privately.
