She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilfred Saunders and Gwladys Saunders; her stepfather Sam Groia; her sister Dilys Philip; and her brothers-in-law, George Philip and Willie Burnell.
She is survived by: her husband George Burnell; her son Curtis James; her daughter-in-law Leona Elizabeth; her grandsons, James and Benjamin; her brother Gerald Saunders of Oshawa, ON; and her brother-in-law David Burnell (Denise) of Elora, ON.. She is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Long Branch Baptist Church (3381 Lake Shore Blvd W, Toronto, ON M8W1N1).
