He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice and Margaret; and his siblings, David, Maureen Cavalcante and Terrence.

He is survived by: his sister-in-law Joan Adams; and his brothers, Anthony (Rosalie) of Ottawa and Jerome (Ellen) of Rhode Island. He is also survived by his many cousins, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews.
