He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles and Margaret; and his wife Phyllis Church. He is survived by: his children, Karen Carpenter (Gregg), Kevin Lilly (Lanette) and Kim Russell (Keith); and his grandchildren, Kendra Steele (Peter), Ali Carpenter, Scott Lilly (Jennifer), Meagan Rhodes (Nathan), Joshua Lilly (Stef), Cayla Craig (Kevin), Alex Russell (Caitlin), Adam Russell and Christie Russell. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren and extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his name to the Open Door Mission or a Missionary Outreach at First Bible Baptist Church.
