He is survived by: his wife Virginia; his children, Stephen, Jim Jr. (Laura), Jacqueline, Denise (Aubrey Gonsalvez), Michael and Jennifer; his grandchildren, Emily, Ben, Rebecca, Jesse, Ryan and Henry; his sister Patricia Jacobs; his sisters-in-law, Joanne (late Jack Priestman) and Mary Lou (Wayne Copeland); his nieces and nephews, Colleen (Tom Golightly), Shannon Meijer (Ryan Michaels), Erin Jacobs, Brent Nobert (Joanne), Andrea (Chris Durham), Dwayne Priestman (Jeannie), Adele (Jim Tesolin), Paul Priestman (Lois), Christine Switzer, David Copeland (Selby), Leigh Anne (Frank Jacques), John Paul Copeland (Cindy) and Catherine Copeland; and his cousin McQuillan.

Visitation was held on Sunday, May 24th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Centre (50 Overlea Blvd, Toronto, ON M4H1B6). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 25th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Paul's Basilica (83 Power St, Toronto, ON M5A3A8). A reception will be held on Monday, May 25th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, May 25th 2026 from 1:45 PM to 2:30 PM at the Mount Hope Catholic Cemetery (305 Erskine Ave, Toronto, ON M4P1Z7).
