We are sad to announce that, on June 7, 2021, at the age of 85, Jan Ilkiw (Toronto, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his sisters, Tekla (Zarebska), Anna and Irena (Kusy); and his parents, Anastasia Ilkiw (Zerebnyj) and Andrij Ilkiw.

He is survived by: his wife Justyna; his children, Myroslaw (Tania) and Violetta; his grandsons, Mathew and Julian; and his sister Julia (Harhaj).

All the staff we encountered have been absolutely wonderful in this trying time of COVID-19.

“We have nice memories of Mr. Ilkiw from when we were living next door to Tania and Myro on Greening Crescent. Sonya and Mr. Ilkiw would look after the kids from 3-5 pm during the "shift change" that Myro and Tania had at that time. This resulted in nice chats about all things including his own life experiences. Mr. Ilkiw helped to build this country by working hard and raising a great family. A great example for us all He will be missed. Condolences to the entire family. Peter and Sonya”
