Jean Carolyn Bell Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean Carolyn Bell (Toronto, Ontario), who passed away on March 28, 2021 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including : her daughters, Carolyn Crisp (Norm) of Ottawa and Barbara Thurston of Toronto; her grandchildren, Alexander (Nela), Gregory and Kyra; her great grandchildren, Jacob and William Crisp; her close friend Jim Purcell of Newmarket; her husband John Ross Thurston; and her parent Carolyn. She was also cherished by the father of her two daughters.

Having been an avid golfer since her teenage years, she spent many happy hours on the greens with her Angel Friends, and she was a competitive bridge player who loved being at the club, or playing online during the pandemic.

In lieu of flowers, Jean hoped memorial donations be made to Princess Margaret Cancer Research Foundation.
