He is survived by: his sisters, Maria of Lourdes and Laureana (José Fonseca Pereira); his godson Agostinho (Joni); his niece São (Doug); his goddaughter Amanda; and his great-nephew Gilles (Zoe). He is also survived by many cousins and friends.
