With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Elizabeth Ash (Toronto, Ontario), who passed away on March 9, 2026 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Joan had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Joan may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Greer and Jessica Greer; her siblings, Ralph and Doris Collingridge; and her friend Dorothy Cornish.
She is survived by: her stepson Gordon Ash (Susan Cutajar); and her sister Diana Zsolyomy. She is also survived by her nieces and nephew.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests that donations be made in Joan's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, in honour of her journey as a breast cancer survivor, or to The Salvation Army Yorkminster Citadel, continuing the ministry she loved so dearly.
