He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Domenica; his sons, Paul Ross and Robert (Katelyn Vesprini); his grandchildren, Giancarlo and Alexander; his sister Dora (Rodney De Freitas); his mother-in-law Antonia Grossi; his sister-in-law Maria (Joe Giampaolo); his parents, Rocca Manno and Donato Di Manno; and his sister Vincenza (Donato Mariani).
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bernardo Funeral Homes (2960 Dufferin St, North York, ON M6B3S9). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Margaret of Scotland Church (222 Ridley Blvd, Toronto, ON M5M3M6). A burial was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at the Holy Cross Cemetery (211 Langstaff Rd E, Thornhill, ON L3T3Z2).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sunnybrook Hospital Foundation or the Lung Association, in honour of Giovanni's memory and the compassionate care he received.
