John Frederick Logan Q.C. Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Frederick Logan Q. C. in Toronto, Ontario, born in Lindsay, Ontario, who passed away on July 12, 2024 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his sister Margaret Fraser Logan; his former wife Margaret Doreen Logan; his daughter Susan Elizabeth Mokelky; his former wife Molly Elizabeth Logan; and his parents, Frederick and Florence.

He is survived by: his sister Catherine Patricia Philp; his children, Margaret Ann Logan, John Alexander Doran Logan and Janet Mary Logan; his stepchildren, Jennifer, Thom McKercher, Philip Grenfell and Al Liu; his son-in-law Randy Mokelky; his grandchildren, Margie Leggatt, David Mokelky, Samuel Mokelky, Rachel Mokelky, Ian McKercher, Daniel McKercher and Elliott Liu; his wife Dodie; his uncle Ken; his nieces and nephews, Nancy (Steve Pelletier), John Philp (Sara Turner), Andy Philp (Paula Murphy) and Margie Philp (Martin Mittelstaedt); his sister Dorothy (Ed Eberle); his nieces and nephews, James, Gregory, Anne Doran, Mary, Ted and David Eberle; his friends, Cindy Davidson, Al Rempel, Hugh Glennie and Dr. Tom Wilson; his close friend Helen Perkins of Ottawa; and also Jim Doran (Jacqui). He is also survived by five great grandchildren.

During the pandemic, John and his condo floor-mates, Reba Smith, Nancy Biggar and Donna Wootton, supported one another, gathering together for meals most evenings over those challenging years.
