He is survived by: his wife Ursula; his children, Anne Marie, Valerie (Don), Brian (Rosemary) and John Paul (Carolynne); his sibling Bernie; his grandchildren, Katherine, Will, Mark, Jacqueline, Brendan, Jennifer, Bridget, Andrew, Justis, Gabriel, Avery and Natalie; his great grandchild Lyla; and his siblings-in-law, Nancy, Nuala and Seamus.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Food for Children and Fontbonne Ministries, esteemed charity organizations supported by John throughout his life.
