He was predeceased by: his parents, John McDonald and Agnes "Nancy" McCormack; his brother Jim (Andrea); and his wife Catherine "Rena" McLean. He is survived by: his children, Stephen (Maria) and Catherine (Peter); his grandchildren, Caitlin, Meaghan and James; and his sisters, Nancy, Margaret Watson (Jim) and Susan Wilson (John).
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #614 (100 Salome Dr, Toronto, ON M1S2A8). In turn, the family wishes to thank Thomas and Sigrid for keeping an eye on John all these years, particularly during the pandemic.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Canadian Cancer Society (Pancreatic).
