He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Carole Anne Kavanagh (Clancy); his children, Karen (John Stacey) and Stephen (Moira Donnelly); his grandchildren, Bucky (Philip Chebaya) of Holly, Laura (Maire-Philip Poulin), Cayley and Julia; and his great grandchild Leo.
The family kindly requests no flowers and in memory of John, donations can made to the Diabetes Canada and/or Scarborough Health Network Foundation (Scarborough General Hospital).
