He is survived by: his wife Barbara Simitas; his daughters, Vivian Battaglin (Marco Battaglin), Sofia Grande (Peter Grande), Dimitra Georgia Zanfini (Anthony Zanfini), Pappou (Marco), Zander, Aris and Thalia; his brother Kostas Simitas; and his sibling's children, Dimitrios, Yanni, Periklis, Harry and Layla.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Panteleimon Greek Orthodox Church (11359 Warden Ave., Markham, ON L6C1M9). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Panteleimon Greek Orthodox Church (11323 Warden Ave., Markham, ON L6C1M9). A burial was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery (8361 Yonge St, Thornhill, ON L3T2C7).
