He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Manuel Fernandes and Guilhermina Fernandes; his wife Maria Isabel Fernandes; his children, Joe, Deo, Lisa and Jim; his grandchildren, Chanel, Ashley, Sabrina and Michael; his great grandchildren, Alecia, Alex, Christopher, Emilio and Benjamin; and his siblings, Manuel, Maria, Deolinda, Gilda and Otilia.
