He was predeceased by: his wife Lillian Kates; his former wife Kay Hill; his sisters, Gretl Katz and Cornelia James (Nelly); and his parents, Baruch Katz and Chana Katz.
He is survived by: his children, Louis (Goldie) and Naomi; his daughter-in-law Tayva Graham; his children, Philip, David, Margaret Smith and John; his siblings, Herman (Anita), Lola Jeremy (Suzi) and Erika Foxman (Louis); and also Olga Shuttleworth (Ollie).
