With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Josephine (Josefa) Slojewski (Toronto, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 22, 2025 at the age of 98. Though Josephine may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Josephine touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Stefan; her children, Teresa (Rob) and Henry; her sibling's children, Anna, Irene and Ted; and her caregiver Jhang.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel (2357 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON M6S1P4). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Turner & Porter - Yorke Chapel (2357 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON M6S1P4). A burial will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Park Lawn Cemetery (2845 Bloor St W, Etobicoke, ON M8X3A1).
