She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Jim McGunigal; her children, Mitzi, Jyl and Greg; her grandchildren, Shayla, Flynn, Brandi, Kelsey and Brett; her close friends, Bonnie Henry and Gayle Alenius; her nieces, Karen and Paige; her great grandchildren, Maggie and Joey; her nephew Corey; and her sister Bonnie. She was also cherished by her extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the McDougall & Brown Funeral Home Scarborough Chapel (2900 Kingston Rd, Scarborough, ON M1M1N5). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the McDougall & Brown Funeral Home, Scarborough Chapel (2900 Kingston Rd, Scarborough, ON M1M1N5). A reception was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the McDougall & Brown Funeral Home Scarborough Chapel (2900 Kingston Rd, Scarborough, ON M1M1N5). A burial was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Pine Hills Cemetery (625 Birchmount Rd, Scarborough, ON M1K1R1). During COVID when the hairdresser wasn't on site, the staff would curl June's hair themselves.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice, or a donation to Bike for Brain Health in memory of June McGunigal would be appreciated by the family.
