We bid farewell to Karl Medel (Toronto, Ontario), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 14, 2025 at the age of 88. Karl touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank and Susanna; and his sisters, Katie Agocs (Lou), Elisabeth Kampferseck (John) and Rosie Zepp (Fred).
He is survived by: his wife Trudy; his sons, Roy (late Laura) and Brian (Vera); his stepsons, Dave Scherbinsky (Linda) and Dan Scherbinsky Lisa (Patti); his grandchildren, Sarah (Ian), Andrea (Jacob), Kaitlin (Mike), Melissa, Emily, David M., Victoria (Jonah), David S. (Elise), Zachary (Alexis), Liam (Ashley), Hawk and Sydney; his great grandchildren, Taylor, Natalie and Isaac; and his siblings, Ernest (late Katie), Margaret Faust (late John) and Richard (June).
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Kane-Jerrett North York Chapel (6191 Yonge St, North York, ON M2M 4K4). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Warden Full Gospel Assembly (2210 Warden Ave., Scarborough, ON M1T1V6). A committal service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 2:45 PM to 3:15 PM at the Highland Memory Gardens (33 Memory Gardens Ln, North York, ON M2H3C8).
If desired in memoriam donations may be made to either Warden Full Gospel Assembly or to Ontario Bethel Park Camp Society.
