He was predeceased by: his spouse Eldred Gooding; and his parents, Thomas W. Gooding and Dorothy Gooding. He is survived by: his sons, Bruce Gooding (Carol) and David Gooding (Penny); and his grandchildren, Andrew, Ian, Jarred and Dean.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sunnybrook Foundation – Veterans Program in support of Canadian Veterans would be appreciated.
