He was predeceased by: his parents, Allan and Chris. He is survived by: his wife Judy; his siblings, Brian and Kelly (Cameron); his siblings' children, Kirsten and Connor; and his grandchildren, Isabel and Arwen.

In his memory, we ask that in lieu of flowers, donations to Diabetes Canada or Sunnybrook Foundation Garry Hurvitz Brain Sciences Centre.
