He was predeceased by: his parents, George Wells and Mary Wells; and his son Donald Wells. He is survived by: his wife Ruby; his children, Constance Marshall, Ruby Organ (Derek), Lawrence Wells Jr. (Debbie) and Wayne Wells of Toronto, ON; his grandchildren, Roxann, Dylan, Brandon, Daniel, Erica Organ and Maddyson Marshall; his great grandchild Dylan Organ Jr.; his siblings, Fred, Leonard Wells and Jean Tomlin; and his sister-in-law Mae Garland. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.

Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Rd. As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in Lawrence's memory may be made to Cochrane Street United Church.
