Leonore Jenkner Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leonore Jenkner of Toronto, Ontario, who passed away on May 30, 2022, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Wolfgang Jenkner; and her daughters, Ingrid and Karin Jenkner.

Now in a wheelchair and with just two days before COVID stopped transfers to and from care homes, Sunrise of Mississauga became her new residence. Thanks to SoM's stringent measures, Leonore survived the pandemic but began a steep decline which ended in her final hospital admission.

In Leonore's memory, a donation to The Art Gallery of Ontario, any animal charity, or WNED-TV would be appreciated.
