She was predeceased by: her husband Agostinho DeMedeiros; her daughter Linda Maiato; and her parents, Estrela Piedade Da Luz and Jose Cabral Luz. She is survived by: her children, Orlanda (Gabriel), Bernadette (Leo), Goretti (Eddie), Carlos (Natalie), Armindo (Maria), Joe (Tina) and Grace; and her siblings, Ester Furtado, Lidia Cordeiro and Estrela Luz. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
