It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ll. D John Daniel Leitch O. C. (Toronto, Ontario), who passed away on May 12, 2020, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gordon Leitch and Hilda Leitch; his former wife Peggy Cartwright; his daughters, Jill Bain and Jean Vander Ploeg; his sister Ann Abraham of Toronto; and his wife Catherine. He was also cherished by his daughters, four grandsons, and four great-grandsons.

For those who wish to honor Jack, donations to the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets (navyleague.ca) or The Centre for Marine Training and Research, Georgian College (georgiancollege.ca) would be gratefully appreciated.

“Our parents Joan and Norman Rogers knew Jack for about 55 years and loved his first wife Peggy and absolutely adored Catherine . From the days as part of the Go Go group to so much more. We got our dog Torquil from them in the 60's and when my Dad's allergies were too much we gave them Jude another black lab. Friendships that last 55 years are not common .
