She was predeceased by: her husband Don Franklin; her sisters, Betty Myers, Thelma Anita Sweetnam (Lyn) and Christine Alverna Thompson (Berl); and her parents, Silverina Fernandes and Thomas Fernandes.
She is survived by: her siblings, Shirley Melrose Jackman and Lester Llewelyn Fernandes (Mili Iturrino)); and her nieces and nephews, Christine Rudder, Terry, Keith, Colin Myers, Lisa Freemantle, Kim Thompson-Bliss, Neil Jackman, Paula Duncan, Linda Fernandes and Gaby Fernandes.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Highland Funeral Home - Scarborough Chapel (3280 Sheppard Ave E, Scarborough, ON M1T3K3). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location.
Donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada; a charity that was near and dear to Lloyda's heart.
