Lori Anne Rimmer Obituary
Lori Anne Rimmer August 4, 1962 – July 13, 2025 Toronto, Ontario It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Lori Anne Rimmer on July 13, 2025, at the age of 62 in Toronto, Ontario.
Born on August 4, 1962, Lori was the beloved daughter of the late Gordon Rimmer and Edith May Rimmer (née Lloyd). She was predeceased by her sister, Victoria Rimmer, and she will be dearly missed by her siblings Roberta Kessel (Danny Cooper), Lloyd Rimmer (Julie Jones) and their families.
Lori was the devoted and cherished wife of 38 years to Robert Dutchyn, and the proud mother of Dallas Dutchyn (Shannon Dutchyn), Corie Rimmer (Justin Sisco), and Dustin Dutchyn. She was a loving Nana to Nickolas Rimmer (Kaitlyn Hillier), Kylee Dutchyn, Jaicyn Sisco, as well as an adopted Mom and Nan to many others whom she loved dearly and welcomed into her heart, home and family.
She lived a life of quiet contentment, filled with love for her family. Lori cherished spending time with her kids and grandkids, time with her husband, Rob - on the balcony listening to music and caring for her plants, enjoying a tea and chat with her dear friend, Lisa, or together with family at the trailer at Penbrook Resort (Emsdale, ON). She also enjoyed unwinding with a favourite show or a quiet game of solitaire on her iPad.
Lori will be lovingly remembered for her love of family, charm, strength, compassion, kindness, and fierce devotion to those she loved. Her presence will be deeply missed, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and unconditional acceptance. She touched countless lives with her generosity, wisdom, and quiet courage.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and resilience that will continue to live on in all who knew her.
Cremation has taken place, and her family will honour her privately.
If you wish, donations may be made in Lori's memory to a Canadian charity supporting COPD, such as COPD Canada or the Lung Health Foundation.
If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to Heaven and bring you home again.
