She is survived by: her husband Lawrence; her daughters, Vivian, Carolyn (Bob) and Amanda (Aaron); her sister Martha Averitt; her nephew Murphy (Anna) of North Carolina; and her grandchildren, Connor (Annie), Laura (Matthew), Claire, Scott Thompson, Graye, Leigh Archibald and Alexandra Reeves.

Retirement brought a return to travelling with adventures across Canada and the United States, Europe, Russia in 1999, and the Pacific in 2020 on a cruise ship during the COVID outbreak.
