It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Isabel Dejong of Toronto, Ontario, who passed away on July 22, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Margaret Isabel Dejong to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry and Mary McLeod; and her husband Dirk "Dick" Dejong. She is survived by: her daughters, Elizabeth DeJong of London and Esther DeJong of Toronto; her grandchild Zara Finlay of Seaforth; her great grandchildren, Rhea, Maximus and Mason; and her siblings, Mary "Bonnie" MacTaggart of Napanee, Heather McLeod of London, Donald "Joe" McLeod of Bayfield, Jean McLeod (Logan) of Alaska, Lawrence "Boy" McLeod (Chris) of Alberta and Lyda "Chum" McLeod of British Columbia. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews and friends.
Her body has been donated for medical research to the University of Western Ontario. If desired, donation to the Seaforth Horticultural Society or Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
