She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband João (John); her children, Connie, Dorothy (Enzo), John (Tina), Michael (Irene), Avó, Luca, Liliana and Marina; her parents, Francisco Meneses and Maria Meneses; and her siblings, Purificação, Salomé, Francisco, Durvalina and Domingos.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cardinal Funeral Homes-Bathurst Time (366 Bathurst St, Toronto, ON M5T2S6). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 3rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Santa Cruz Catholic Church (140 Argyle St, Toronto, ON M6J3C8). An entombment was held on Tuesday, February 3rd 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Beechwood Cemetery- Mausoleum (7241 Jane St, Concord, ON L4K1A7).
In Lieu of flowers, donations to 'Society of the Little Flower' would be appreciated. It has, for years, been a charity near and dear to Maria's heart.
