We announce the death of Maria Lucchetta (Toronto, Ontario), who passed away on October 21, 2026, at the age of 90. Maria will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Maria will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Maria will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Maria’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She is survived by: her daughters, Marilena, Francesca and Diana; and her grandchildren, Adrian, Samantha, Jonah, Sarah and Aedan.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ward Funeral Home - Weston Chapel (2035 Weston Rd, Toronto, ON M9N1X7). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Riverside Cemetery (1567 Royal York Rd, Toronto, ON M9P3C4).
