It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Maria Nebesio of Vancouver, British Columbia, who passed away on April 26, 2024, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid adieu to Maria's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Maria has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Mykola (Yulia Boyko) and Maria; and her husband Andrij. She is survived by : her children, Andrij (Mary) and Christine.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cardinal Funeral Home, Annette Chapel (92 Annette St, Toronto, ON M6P 1N6). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Ukraine Chapel (1280 Dundas St W, Oakville, ON L6M4H9). A burial was held on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Volodymyr Cemetery (1280 Dundas St W, Oakville, ON L6M4H9).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky Institute Foundation U of T would be greatly appreciated.
