She was predeceased by: her husband Giovanni; and her brother Gino. She is survived by: her daughters, Anna, Sonia (Frank) and Lina (Rob); her grandchildren, Andrea (Kevin), Anthony, Alyssa (Michael) and Robby; and her siblings, Paolo, Gennaro, Giacomina and Suor Eugenia.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Maria, may be made to St. Michael's Hospital Foundation.
