We announce the death of Mario Barbagallo (Toronto, Ontario), who passed away on June 23, 2026, at the age of 79. Mario will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Mario will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Mario will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Mario’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Argentina Polari and Antonio Barletta; and his sisters, Armida (Domenico) and Amelia (Achille). He is survived by: his wife Ada Elvira; his children, Sabina (Felix) and Antonio; and his sister Anna Maria (Silvio). He is also survived by loving father and friend who gave of himself to his family, relatives, friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mario's memory may be made to The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids).
