Though Martin may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Martin touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He is survived by: his wife Maria; his daughters, Michela (Michael Verwaayen) and Marijke (Liv Leavitt); his mother Susi; and his siblings, Hank-John (Janet Reinink), Barbara (Larry Gousvaris) and Cathy-Ann. He is also survived by his extended family, relatives and numerous friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rosar-Morrison Funeral Home (467 Sherbourne St, Toronto, ON M4X1K5). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Thomas' Anglican Church (383 Huron St, Toronto, ON M5S2G5).
