Matija touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his wife Anne. He is survived by: his sons, Frank (Betty) and Michael (Helen); and his grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew, Joseph and Katie.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church (739 Brown's Line, Etobicoke, ON M8W3V7). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
