With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Matilde Monopoli (Toronto, Ontario), who passed away on October 4, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Pasquale and Maria; and her siblings, Michele, Nicola, Antonio and Cosima.
She is survived by: her spouse Nicola Monopoli; her children, Leonardo (Rossana), Ersilia (John), Pasquale (Dalia), Ottavio (Lea) and Maria (Frank); her grandchildren, Tonya (Rocco), Nick (Lindsay), Giancarlo (Nicole), Dante (Jessica), Alisia (Anthony), Michael M., Michael R., Nikolas, Mathew, Victoria, Isabella, Vanessa and Sabrina; her great grandchildren, Justin, Noah, Olivia, Mila, Massimo and Adamo; and her siblings, Giuseppe (Margherita), Giovanna and Rosa (Francesco). She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Queen of Heaven Catholic Funeral Home (7300 Hwy 27, Woodbridge, ON L4L1A5). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
