He was predeceased by: his parents, Modris and Irmgarde; and his sister Baiba. He is survived by: his wife Kristine; his grandchildren, Amanda (Kit), Aina, Andra (Martins) and Emīls; his sister Rodni; and his niece Tara.

In light of Covid-19 restrictions, only immediate family members are allowed to attend his funeral service.

Modris Lorbergs' family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Sidrabene.
