Mother Florence Ionie Steer Obituary

We announce the death of Mother Florence Ionie Steer (Toronto, Ontario), who passed away on July 14, 2026, at the age of 86. Mother will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Alexander Steer and Ima Jane McDonald-Steer; and her sisters, Lynette Steer-Ward, Kathleen Steer, Birdie, Frances Steer, Marlene "Patsy" Steer and Sonia Steer.

She is survived by: her son Wayne Samuels; her daughter-in-law Beverley; her grandsons, Nathaniel, Brandon and Jordan; and her siblings, Guy Steer, Connel Steer, Donovan Steer, Syble Steer-Smart, Susan Steer-Sharpe, Rose Steer and Lorna Steer-Grant. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
