He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Shamie and Eva Shamie. He is survived by: his siblings, Mike, Fred, George, Emile, Raymond and Gladys; his close friend Emile Chamandy; his wife Adele Aziz; his children, Stephen (Sheena MacAskill), Suzanne (Richard Goode) and Catherine; and his grandchildren, Jane, Jennifer, Alison, Andrew and Elizabeth.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Humphrey Funeral Home A. W. Miles-Newbigging Chapel (1403 Bayview Ave, Toronto, ON M4S2N4).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a preferred charity of choice.
